In this lesson students will learn about marine invertebrates while creating a watercolor resist. Starting with a permanent marker, students will create an underwater environment using invertebrates at the subject matter. Artists will use either oil pastels or crayon to color in the subject matter and watercolors to paint the background creating a unique resist artwork.

In this lesson students will create a birch forest and learn the basics of creating space and form to add depth and perspective to their artwork.
In this lesson students will create landscape and animal drawings inspired by traditional Japanese Byōbu or "Wind Wall". Usually made of paper or silk, Japanese Byōbu screens are used to separate rooms or enclose private spaces and are particularly appreciated for their unique artworks. Artists will learn about value change and composition.
